Accounts Receivable Billing and Collections Job Addison, Texas

Thriving organization in Addison is adding a new position. The Accounts Receivable Billing Collection Specialist is responsible for handling day to day billing and collection activities. The primary responsibilities will be collecting, posting and managing account payments.

Accounts Receivable Billing and Collections SpecialistJob Duties:

- Maintain and monitor accounts receivable aging report for all customers; make any necessary contact to ensure payment is received.
- Negotiate payments with customers by form of payment plan, payment in full, settlements, according to company guidelines.
- Follow up on payment commitments to ensure a positive resolution.
- Send collection notices to delinquent accounts.
- Audits delinquent accounts considered to be un-collectable to ensure maximum efforts have been taken before assigning to outside collection agency.
- Notify manager and sales rep of problem accounts and keeps them updated on collection status.
- Ensure future billing is setup in the system accurately.
- Enter daily invoices and credit memos, as needed.
- Process monthly credit card payments, as requested.
- Contact customers with invalid credit cards.
- Contact customers with non-sufficient fund checks.
- Apply daily checks and unapplied cash to open invoices.
- Respond to and resolve incoming phone calls and emails from customers concerning collections and payments.
- Email/mail receipts, as requested.
- Provide monthly collection status report to supervisor.
- Assist with the process of sending monthly statements.

Pay Rate is $14.00 per hour.

Accounts Receivable Billing and Collections Specialist Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years billing experience required (prefer experience in basic collections).
- Demonstrates ongoing enthusiasm and commitment to work assigned.
- Demonstrates the ability to work independently, perform duties and make logical decisions.
- Must have strong attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to function effectively under multiple, simultaneous deadlines.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to exercise mature judgment and protect the confidentiality of information.
- Strong analytical skills and technology literacy skills with word processing, spreadsheet, presentation programs, Internet and email.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be resourceful and have superior problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment focused on meeting goals and objectives required.
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
